5 years ago today, I was a nervous wreak. I was about to get married to the man of my dreams! I can't believe its already been 5 years! Wow! Time flies when your having fun I guess. I absolutely love been married to Steven. He is the best husband anyone could ever ask for and I know he loves me with all his heart. He is so good to me, I can't believe that God has blessed me with such a great husband.
It all started 6 years ago, when I wouldn't quit bugging Steven until he finally gave in and talked to me! Some friends of mine gave me Steven's e-mail address and I e-mailed him and talked to him some on MSN messenger. He let me know right off that he did not want a girlfriend until he went to college and graduated and that he had no intentions on ever getting married. But, he just couldn't resist me!
We started dating on April 4th, 2004. I was the youngest of 10 children so you can just imagine what my dad had to say about this. I remember the first time Steven came to visit me, my dad showed him his entire gun collection hoping to scare him away. That didn't scare Steven off. Nothing did. Not even my sister, Marcia, who tried her very best to scare him off (And still does. Lol!).

March 15th, 2005 Steven asked me to marry him! I didn't know what to think. I wasn't even 18 yet and he had just turned 18. Finally, about an hour after he popped the question, I said yes. And 4 months later we got married!
I love being married. It hasn't aways been easy but God has truly blessed us in more ways than we could count. I really don't know how married couples make it without God in their lives.
When we got back from our honeymoon, we still didn't have electric or water in our trailer so we decided to stay with my parents until our trailer was ready for us to move in. The bed that mom had fixed for us to sleep in would squeak even if you looked at it. It would make an awful noise if you sat on it. I think she planned it this way. Needless to say, we stayed at our house the next night without electric or water. Living on love I guess!
Our first meal in our house was mac 'n cheese and we didn't have a kitchen table so we ate it on a Rubbermaid container while we sat on the floor!
We have had our fights, plenty of them, but God has brought us through them, thankfully. We have fought over some pretty crazy things. Things like the proper way to brush your teeth and the way you load the dishwasher. I know none of you have ever fought about crazy things like that. We always get over it though and we try to never go to bed angry with each other because life is fragile and you never know when the last time is that you will ever see each other.
I really hope that God can use us in His work and I hope that we will always be willing to go where God tells us to go. I remember one of the first few times that we went to what is now our home church, our pastor, Bro. David Noe, said that God showed him Steven and me holding hands with a great light around us. I really hope that we can live up to that and that God can work through our marriage and that we can be a light to those around us. Please pray for us as we continue on in our walk with God together.
