I Would Like For You To Meet Our Baby

We had our first ultrasound today!


Ain't our baby precious! Aww! I still cannot believe God has blessed us again with a baby. So amazing!

I had been pretty nervous all day about this ultrasound. Thinking things like what if they can't find a heartbeat, what if there isn't a baby at all, what if there is 2 babies, or THREE babies (thanks Bro.Davy). But everything went great. The baby is measuring right on target which means my official due date is January 29, 2012.

When she first got the picture up on the screen, my first thought was, "Okay, where is the baby?" I almost cried (happy tears of course) when I finally saw our baby. Then I thought, "Okay, now what about the heart beat? Why can I not see it's heart beating?" Then the woman got a little closer to the baby and we were able to hear it's heart beating! Right out loud, Steven and I both said, "Praise the Lord!" We were so happy!

The baby's heart rate was 136. With my first ultrasound with Trinity, her heart rate was 129. They said that everything looked perfect!

Trinity went with us and was amazed at all the stuff in the room. I asked her when I put her to bed tonight, if she got to see her baby brother or sister today. She said, "Uh huh!" (Which means yes in her language!) She is going to be the best big sister ever!

I had my first OB appointment Thursday. It went good too. Very uneventful. When my doctor walked into the room, she said, "Ivis Jones! It's about time you got back in here! I was beginning to think you'd never come back!"

I am so thankful for this baby. I am already head over heels in love with him or her. I can't wait to hold this baby in my arms.
