Weight Loss Wednesday

Well, I am finally joining my blogging friend, Jess in her Weight Loss Wednesday posts! I start this diet today! I dieted the beginning of this year and quit during the summer. I have gained 5 pounds since then! Wow! I had lost 20 lbs. but now only 15. It is so hard to diet because I love to eat and HATE to exercise!

But, I have to do this. I felt a lot better when I was dieting. It seemed like I had more energy.

It's really hard to diet when you have a skinny husband who can eat ANYTHING he wants and not gain a single pound! It makes me so mad! I can just smell food and I put on weight! UGH!

I just hate dieting but I really need to do this for me, for my health, and for Trinity. I don't want to be really over weight and have health problems and not be able to play with her.

I know that I will never be "skinny" but I also know that I can be smaller than what I am right now.

I am really wanting some chicken nuggets from good ole McDonald's. I am doing a calorie diet this time and I have no clue how many calories chicken nuggets have. I also just remembered that I am taking my FIL to the doctor tomorrow and we are going to eat at Cracker Barrel! UGH! I will have to stick to my guns and order, like, nothing!

I have 2 weight loss goals. A short term goal and a long term goal. I have to lose 12 pounds to get to my short term goal and I need to lose 37 lbs. to get to my long term goal (which is what I weighed when I got married).

Anyways.... Here we go!

Fun At The Pumpkin Patch!

Last Saturday, me, Trinity, my best friend Michelle, and her daughter Marissa went to Devine's pumpkin patch and corn maze. We had the best time! I really wanted to do something "fallish" with Trinity and Steven was busy so I decided to call my friend Michelle to see if she wanted to do something with us. She found this corn maze and it was so neat! (Sorry about all the pictures of me in this post. I was so excited that I actually got some pictures of me and Trinity. That never happens!)

This was Trinity and me after finishing the hay maze.

This slide was so much fun! It was huge and very steep! When I got in it I was a little scared. I sat down in it backwards and I was going to turn around once I got in it. Well no! I started sliding down it backwards and I got caught in it with the back of my leg! I was sitting there screaming for Marissa to help me! She came and I finally got turned around. I still have a bruise all the way across the back of my leg from that! But it was too fun!

This is Trinity and Michelle petting the cows.

This was a swing they had made out of pipe. It was fun too. Trinity really liked it.

This is us in the kiddie corn maze. They had 3 corn mazes there. They had the kiddie maze, the beginner's maze, and the actual maze. We made it through the kiddie maze just fine. Then we tried the beginner's maze. Well, we NEVER got all the way through it. We kept coming out the entrance of it. I don't know how we managed that?

This was Trinity and me on the hay ride. They have a hay ride that takes you to the pumpkin patch where you can pick a pumpkin to take home with you!

When we finished the hay ride, we decided to do the big corn maze. I said that the beginner's maze was too simple for our smart brains! Ha! We done really good at this maze and made it through in 29 minutes! We were so excited when we exited the maze. We started screaming and dancing! We just had to get pictures! This was Michelle and me. We were too excited! I think it was because we were so hungry. We were scared that we would be stuck in that maze for the rest of our lives!
We had a blast and I really want to go back with Steven.

Trinity's 12 Month Doctor's Appointment

Last Monday was Trinity's 1 year doctor's appointment! I know, I know I'm a week late in posting this! Every thing was fine and dandy with her, praise the Lord! She is 19.2 lbs and I can't remember how long she was :( I do know that it was 30 something inches. She only had to get 1 shot which is good! Next time she has to get 3 shots. She doesn't enjoy the doctor so don't let these pictures trick you!

What I Made - Thank You Card

This is the card I made for the 2nd week of Monday Card Madness on scrapbooksteals.com. It is a thank you card for Trinity's great-grandma. I love making cards but it's very time consuming! I used this sketch.

Our 12 Month Old Little Girl

Saturday our baby girl turned 1! I cannot believe how fast time flies! And yet again, it seems as though Trinity has always been in our lives. Does that make any sense? She has brought more happiness to our home than I could have ever imagined! We love her so much. I had a really hard time Friday. Every time I would think about her growing up I would start crying. I am sure my mom thought I was crazy! I know that Trinity has to grow up and I am thankful that she is but it's still just hard on a momma. She is so much fun at this age though!

* She has 8 teeth. 4 on top and 4 on the bottom
* She walks everywhere now and gets around really good.
* She sleeps all night.
*She no longer takes a bottle or pacifier.
*She wears size 12 month clothing.
*She wears size 2 and 3 shoes.
*She wears size 3 diapers.
*She weighs 19.2 lbs.
*She is 30 something inches long.(I can't remember what the doctor said)
*Her favorite toy is a doll we bought with her birthday money.
*She says new words everyday.
*She can blow kisses.
*She is getting a little attitude.
*She hates to sit still during church.
This was Trinity the day she was born.
This was Trinity on her 1st birthday.

Trinity's 1st Birthday!

Saturday was Trinity's first birthday! I CANNOT believe it has been 1 year since our precious little baby girl entered this world! She has brought more joy to our lives than we could have ever imagined. We love her with all our heart!

Her birthday party was Saturday. She had an awesome one too! I was so happy with the theme I picked out. It turned out to be beautiful! It was kind of stressful trying to get everything ready for her party since I have been super busy. But we got it all done and I am so glad!

I am so thankful for this past year. God has truly blessed us!

I really thought that Trinity would love opening gifts but she didn't seem to.
She was really hungry so that is probably why.

She loves money!

Look at this mess!!

This is Trinity's birthday cake. My mom and I made it!

This is Trinity's cake.

My baby loves her some cake!

Bye-Bye Baby Bottle

I always said that when Trinity turned 1, I was going to take her bottle and pacifier. I had already gotten rid of her pacifier so all I had left was her bottle. She turned one Saturday so Friday morning was the last time she has had her bottle. I wanted to take pictures of her the last time she had it.
It was no problem taking it away. She was only taking it in the morning so now instead of a bottle, she gets cereal. She loves Honey Comb cereal so that is what she has been eating. Best of all she can feed it to herself! I usually end up with milk spilled all in her highchair tray though :(

What I Made - Simple Baby Jumper And Flower

I love baby jumpers! I finally got a pattern of a simple one at Hobby Lobby. I have been looking at this fabric for a while now and I finally got it! I thought that it would make the cutest baby jumper and it did! When Steven saw the green zebra and the solid brown together, he said that it was the ugliest color combination that he had ever seen! Ha! He doesn't know fashion! Well, Trinity wore this to Bond Holiness Church camp meeting Wednesday night and everyone LOVED it! I made the flower by drawing 5 flowers onto the fabric and then cutting the flowers out and then doing a zig-zag stitch on the edges so that it wouldn't fray. Then I sewed them together and but a brown center on it. (By the way, I did not make the hat, just the flower!) I want to get a brown "T" monogrammed in the center of the dress but I don't know. What do you think?

What I Made - Trinity's 1st Birthday Card

I love scrap booking! I go to www.scrapbooksteals.com everyday to see what "steal" they have for the day. Yesterday on their blog, they started something called, "Monday Card Madness". They are doing a random drawing at the end of 4 weeks to give away the cards they made for Monday Card Madness, if you will comment on their blog with a link to a card that you made. I needed a birthday card for Trinity. I went to my trusty Hallmark to find that they only carry one, ONE, daughter 1st birthday card. I couldn't believe it. I have been in a crafty mood lately so I decided that I would make her one. I hope I win the drawing! Oh, the tutorial for this card came from here.

What I Made - Ruffle Shirt

I saw this tutorial on my blogging buddy, Mamey Jane's blog. I fell in LOVE with this shirt. I immediately started looking for tank tops on clearance. I finally found some at Kmart for 3.00 each so I bought 2 of them to make this shirt. Well, I finally got in and made it. It's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. Smart me didn't try on the tank top before I made it. I got the tank top all finished and tried it on. Guess what? Too small! Great! I have this neat shirt and it's too small. It's also too long. It's not a total loss though. I am going to use it but I'm not going to tell you what for ;)!
By the way, please ignore the ugly vase in the back ground of the last picture. It's what we keep our pennies in!

My New Car Seat!

Dear Granny and Granddaddy,

Thank you so much for my new car seat! I love it! It is so much more comfortable than my old one. It even has a cup holder! The first time I rode in it was Thursday night. Mommy had a hard time getting it into Daddy's little car but she finally got it in there! I can't wait until I can turn forward facing and get to see everything. If only I was 20 pounds!
Love,
Trinity
P.S.
Please don't make fun of my hair in the last 2 pictures. I had just woke up from my nap and I was having a bad hair day!

Ridiculous Baby Gear Recalls

It is crazy! All of these recalls are driving me crazy! I mean seriously, have y'all heard about the Fisher-Price toys? Millions of toys recalled! Do these brand really care about our children? Makes me wonder sometimes.

There is at least one new recall every month. Last month's Similac recall was totally GROSS! I am so glad Trinity doesn't take that formula.

Well, I found out over 2 months ago that Trinity's Jenny Lind crib was recalled. Immediately I went on-line at their website to order the replacement parts to fix the problem. Well, guess when I got the parts? TODAY!! It took them over 2 months to ship me the parts!

That is ridiculous! I mean come on! They care about my baby who could die from falling in between the cracks on her crib? Don't seem like it! They say do not let your child sleep in this crib until you have installed the parts. What are you supposed to do for 2 months until they can find the time to ship you the parts?

I am NOT happy, as you can tell.

Oh! By the way, Trinity has a toy that was on the Fisher-Price toy recall list. It was the 1-2-3 tether ball I got her for Christmas last year. I signed up for the e-mail that they send you for you to print off the shipping label and I received the e-mail 2 days later. It shouldn't take 2 days to send an e-mail.

PLUM RIDICULOUS!!! I'm not happy about this.
