Happy Birthday Steven!

Yesterday was Steven's 25th birthday! I made him cookies for me, Trinity, and Titus to take to him at work. First we stopped at the Dollar Tree for Trinity to pick him out 2 balloons. She picked out a black one that said, "Congrats!" on it but they were out of it so she picked out a Mickey Mouse one and one that said, "Happy Birthday!" with a dog on it.

Let me just tell you, I am so NOT used to this having "two children" stuff! I had to get Trinity, Titus, 2 balloons, a purse, a diaper bag, and a platter of cookies with no lid on it into Steven's office. I FAILED!

I dropped one of Steven's cookies in the middle of the street. Then, Steven's co-worker was holding the door for me and when I walked in, WHAM! I knocked Titus' head into the huge metal door! He cried and cried and cried! Worse Mom of the Year award right here! It left a huge bruise on his head and I was worried but he seems fine now. Thank the Lord!

I am sure that Steven's co-worker probably thinks I'm awful and he will probably NEVER have any children because of yesterday! Ha!

Anyway... we finally made it in there *almost* safe and sound! Here are Steven's cookies.

I am awful at writing on cookies! Obviously!

If you look closely, you can see poor Titus' bruise on the side of his head.

When we got home, Steven opened his birthday gifts! Trinity and Titus got him a water squirter, a bad mitten set, sunglasses, a pack of Easter flowers, a piggy bank, and a pack of pacifiers. I took Trinity to the Dollar Tree and let her pick them out all. She loved it!

Trinity is obsessed with pacifiers!

I got Steven a remote control boat!
He has a really nice remote control helicopter so I figured he would like this. I, I mean HE, can't wait to get to play with it! Ha!
Also, 7 years ago yesterday, Steven asked me to marry him! I love this guy! Happy birthday Steven!

Pre-Birthday Party!

Steven's birthday is this Thursday! He will be the BIG 2-5! Wow wee! He is getting old! (Don't tell anyone, but I will be 25 exactly one month from Thursday! Yikes!) So... last night his mom and dad had him a little birthday party complete with steak, chicken, baked potatoes, macaroni and cheese, corn, and homemade bread sticks! Yummy! Oh, and also some delicious strawberry cake! See...

Trinity helped Daddy blow out his birthday candles!

This is Trinity and her aunt Andrea. This is how Trinity was "smiling" when we took her picture! She is not very good at fake smiling!
This is Trinity and her Granddaddy watching the trains go by. Trinity loves doing that!
Titus obviously gets bored with birthday parties. He was yawning and stretching!
Momma and Titus.

And here are some completely unrelated pictures from Sunday school...

And yet another unrelated picture of some cookies I made Friday night. I am really loving all the beautiful decorated cookies on Pinterest.com and I just had to try my hand at it!

Mine are not fancy by no means but I think they turned out cute! I plan on making some for Steven's birthday. Non pink ones, of course! I'm also planning on making him cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries. He will love them all but we will be on a sugar high for weeks!

A Question About Dying White Chocolate

Hey all my awsome blog readers! I just have a quick question for you guys. Can you dye white melting chocolate?? I have tried and failed. I knew you couldn't use regular food coloring because it makes the chocolate clump up but I thought that I had read somewhere that you could use gel paste dye. I bought some today at Hobby Lobby and tired it tonight and it turned out the same way. Just a big clump.

Surely there is a way! If anyone knows how, please, please let me know! The first one to help me out on this wins a $1,000 gift card! Not really! The first one to help me out gets a HUGE "Thank you" from me! (Which is really a whole lot better than $1,000. Right?!?)

Also, anyone know a good easy recipe for fondant??

Thanks guys! Love you ALL!

Is There A Postpartum Nesting Instinct??

Seriously, is there??? If there is, I'd love to have it! I have been feeling SO exhausted lately. I wake up after a full night's sleep and feel like I haven't even been asleep. I don't know how I would make it if I had to wake up with Titus through the night.

My house is in need of Spring cleaning. I really need to start Spring cleaning but I can't find any motivation. :(

How do you all get motivated to Spring clean??

I miss my energy that I had right before I had Titus. I miss that nesting instinct so very badly! Please come back!

So, anyone with any tips on gettin' my Spring cleaning done?? Maybe I should get on Pinterest.com and look at some really clean and organized houses? Maybe that would probably be just killing time that could be spent cleaning!

I really don't think there is a point to this post. Maybe I'm just whiny today. It's okay to be like that every once in a while. Right??

Titus Isaiah is 1 Month Old!

My baby boy is already 1 month old!

A few things about Titus...

*He weighs 10.2 lbs.
*He wears size Newborn and some size 0-3 months clothes.
*He wears size 1 shoes.
*He has very dry skin right now.
*He already has "cradle cap". (Anyone know any thing to help this??)
*He has very oily hair. It ALWAYS looks dirty!
*He has baby acne but it's going away.
*His umbilical cord stump still has not fallen off. (Is this normal??)
*He loves to be held all the time!
*He loves to be swaddled.
*He eats every 3 hours.
*He sleeps all night long!!!! Yay! Usually from 11:30pm through 7:00am. Praise the LORD!
*His favorite time of day is after he first wakes up and eats. He smiles a lot then!
*He seems to cry and have gas a lot. I don't know if it's because I breast feed him and he doesn't like what I eat? We are both trying to get used to this whole breast feeding thing. We are doing a lot better now than we were at first!
*He is starting to stay awake for longer periods of time.
*He is also starting to coo and try and "talk" to you. Too cute!
*He doesn't like his car seat unless the car is actually moving.
*He loves to be snuggled and loved on!
*He kind of likes getting a bath. He will cry the whole time until I go to wash his hair. When I start to wash his hair, he hushes instantly and loves every second of me rubbing his little head!

I loved this outfit on him and I knew last night would be his last time wearing it :(
He is already fussing with Trinity!
Trinity is doing so good with him! There has only been one time when she has shown that she was jealous of him. Titus started crying and Trinity said, "Mommy, don't pick him up." and I said, "Trinity, it's time for him to eat. He has to eat so he won't get sick. Do you want him to get sick?" and she said, "Yeah!"

Trinity is also my little helper! She does a very good good job.
The only problem we have had with her is that she always wants to love on Titus and she about smothers him by kissing and hugging him all the time! She is very sweet to him.

Leap Day!

We had a fun leap day! How about you? We made "leap" frog cupcakes!!!
Trinity loves the cake batter better than the cupcakes!
Here is my baby boy in his frog pjs.
We still have this green icing EVERYWHERE!
And here is the finished product! I thought they turned out really cute!

Steven got a frowny faced one since he wouldn't help us make them :(
Here are our frogy mask and head band! We really look like frogs don't we?? Ha!
This is the cutest frog by far!
