I love our church. I also love it when we fellowship after church. It is always a lot of fun! Last night we went to Sonic. I was so in love with my strawberry limeade!

My Search For The Perfect Diaper Bag
Women have to sacrifice a lot of things when they become a mother. One thing I said that I would NOT sacrifice is my purse. Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE purses. Giving up my purse was not an option. Well, I seem to not be able to remember to bring my diaper bag when I go places. I have forgotten it twice already. Once I was 1 1/2 hours away, and the most recent time was this Sunday for church. I cannot keep doing this. I always remember my purse but It's hard to remember my diaper bag.
The only solution that I can think of is for me to stop carrying a purse and combine my purse and my diaper bag. This makes me very sad. I love my purses but it's all I can think of that will make me remember my diaper bag. I told my husband my plan and he was happy with it.
I was very disappointed when I started my search. I know what I want. I want my new diaper bag to not look like a diaper bag at all. Not even a little bit. I want it to be either chocolate brown or black and I want it to look dressy. Well, here is what I have found that I like.
This one is 299.99! I am not spending
300 dollars on a diaper bag. Plus, its made with
Italian leather and the hard wear on the bag is
18 kt. gold! Who cares about that?

This one is a "steal" at only
159.99!! I am not paying
160 dollars for a diaper bag!
These are "designer" diaper bags.
I could care less if it is "designer"
or not. I just want a nice diaper bag but apparently
they don't make then that are cheap. UGH!
I have found one that I like though.
It is 89.99. I know that is A LOT of money
to pay for a diaper bag but I love it! And today,
they have 10% off!
What do you think? Do you like it? Do you know of any that I might like that would be cheaper?

I Have Learned To Be Content Update.
Well, Our truck seems to no longer be leaking oil. Our Geo Metro is fixed and we don't have to have the transmission taken out. And our Buick is fixed. The transmission wasn't bad, it was the spark plugs! So praise the Lord! Currently we have NO vehicle problems! It pays the be content with what you have.

One Year Ago Today...
One year ago today, we found out that our little gummy bear in my belly was a girl! We were so excited. I just knew that she was a boy but she wasn't! I couldn't ask for a better little girl. She is so beautiful.
I remember that the woman took forever to look to see what her gender was. Then finally, she pointed to something and said, "Well, do you know what your having?" I said, "I don't know. I guess a boy." She said,"It's a girl!"
I get nervous just thinking about it. I don't know why. I remember being so nervous that day and I still get nervous just thinking about it. I'm strange. Pregnancy is such an awesome miracle. I love it!
This is me right before my appointment to
find out if she was a boy or girl.
I had a huge bowl of ice cream so that she would
be moving around so that they could tell what she
was. It didn't work because when I had my ultrasound,
she was asleep. But they found out anyway!
This is her beautiful little face.

Trinity Helps Mommy Wash The Dishes
Yesterday, I was washing Trinity's bottles and Trinity started crying because she wanted me to play with her. Well, I sat her up on the counter and she helped me wash the dishes! She had a blast. Yes it took longer and yes it made a mess but who cares? She absolutely loved it! She loved helping her mommy. I want her to help me now because I know there will come a day when she won't like it.

I've Got The Fever...Bad
Baby fever that is. Someone...anyone, please talk some sense into me! My BABY is only 7 months old. I don't want to have another baby yet. Right?!? I want to wait until Trinity is older. I really, really do. I mean she IS A BABY!!!
I had a dream the other night that I was pregnant. It was kind of like those dreams that I would have while I was pregnant with Trinity where you would dream that she was already here but then when you wake up, you realize that your still pregnant and your disappointed. Does that make any sense? I dreamed I was pregnant and when I woke up I realized that I ain't. It was really disappointing.
Someone remind me of how painful labor is!!!! I can't seem to remember. I think back now and think why did I act like such a baby? I wasn't in pain. What was I thinking? It WASN'T painful. I was such a wimp!
But I know better. I was in pain but I can't remember the pain. All I remember is my beautiful baby girl the first time I saw her. *tears*
Anyways... Please talk some sense into me!!! Please!

I Have Learned To Be Content...
...at least I hope I have. A couple of months back, my husband and I decided to buy a new car to replace my Buick. My Buick had been having some problems and it seems that if one thing goes wrong, another thing will, and then another. We prayed about it and asked God for his perfect will. Well, it came close to happening but it didn't. They wouldn't come down 1,000 more dollars so we decided not to get it.
It was a very good thing we didn't get the car because we had some other unexpected expenses come up. God always knows what He is doing. I was not content with my Buick, I just wanted a new car. I know, I know. I should have been thankful for a running vehicle.
Enter now. We have 3 different vehicles, an F-150 truck, a GEO Metro, and my Buick. Currently everyone of our vehicles could have something wrong with it. Something bad wrong with it. We think our truck is leaking oil. Our mechanic says that we might need to replace the motor. Our GEO is leaking transmission fluid. If what our mechanic done the other day doesn't fix it, we will have to have the whole transmission taken out which would cost more than that car is worth. Finally, my Buick skips during certain times when your driving it. It could mean that the transmission is going out in it.
We are praying really hard that these problems can be easily fixed because if not, we are going to have a huge problem.
Why did I want a new car? I have a perfectly fine car. The scripture of the day, for me, is Philippians 4:11 "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content."
If I could just be content with what I have, it would make my life and my husband's life so much easier. I'm really going to work on this whole being content thing. I really don't want a new car because along with a new car you have a new payment and currently we have nothing we have to pay off. We have our utility bills and that is it. Our house is paid off and all our vehicles and our building is paid off.
Sorry, this is a really boring post but it is something that I've been thinking about. Please help us pray that our vehicles will be just fine. I know it will all work out. I can honestly say that I am content with my Buick. Praise the Lord for my Buick!

Our Wonderful Saturday
Today has been a wonderful day! I have had a lot of fun. First, my mom, Trinity, and I went to some yard sales. We didn't find much. Then I went to my niece's house while they were swimming and let Trinity sit on the side of their pool and put her feet in the water. She loved it. Then Steven, me, and Trinity went to my sister's house to eat because they invites us to a cook out that they were having. Me and Trinity jumped on their trampoline. Trinity loved that too!
After we left there, Trinity, me, and my niece Hannah went swimming. It was Trinity's first time. At first she cried but then she got used to it. She wouldn't let go of me until we got her rubber duckie and let her play with it. I think swimming wore her out because she went to sleep after my mom got her out and fed her.
It's been a beautiful day. God has blessed us in so many ways. It's raining right now, but I'm thankful for the sunshine that we've had!

She says bye, ba, and da
She loves mashed potatoes
She loves to try to see if my nose comes off

My Betty Crocker Moment
Yesterday I have a Betty Crocker moment. I was in the mood to make some home made bread and some home made strawberry jam. My bread wasn't rising and it looked like it was going to turn out bad but I decided to go ahead and let it bake. It ended up turning out great and the best I've ever made! I couldn't believe it. My strawberry jam turned out good too. It was the first time I had ever made that before. I made a little too much so I'll have to give some away. Steven has got some good stuff the eat now!

My First Mother's Day
Yesterday was my first Mother's Day and it was FABULOUS!!! First, Steven made chocolate chip muffins. They were yummy! Then we went to church. What better place to go on Mother's Day? I didn't have a Sunday school class so I was able to stay upstairs for the preaching. Our pastor preached a really good Mother's Day message. I was the youngest mother so I got a hanging basket of flowers!! I was so excited.
After church, the men of our church had a Mother's Day meal for us. They done everything! Even the clean up. It was some really good food!
When we got home, Trinity gave me my mother's day gift and card. It was a humming Bird feeder! It is so pretty.
I had an awesome mother's day. I am so blessed. I'm thankful that God has blessed me with a beautiful little girl and a wonderful, loving husband.

Mother Daughter Hawaiian Luau
Saturday Trinity and I went to a mother daughter luau! It was so much fun. It was in Louisville so we rode with Sis. Karen, Lacey, Ashlee, Malachi, and Kari. We all had a blast. The theme was a Hawaiian luau. They had some Hawaiian inspired food. It was all good! They had skits, 3 songs and our pastor's wife, Sis.Karen, spoke. She done a really good job. She said that she was nervous but I couldn't tell it! It was my first time going to anything like that. I hope they have it next year. Oh, and I was the youngest mom there!
Our Vacation 2010
Wednesday we left for our vacation. We left the house at 10:30 am to head to Richmond, Indiana to our hotel. We arrived at our hotel at 2:30pm. It was nice to drive during the day because mostly we drive at night!
Our pastor was in revival in Connersville, Indiana so we went there to be in service with them Friday night. After service, we all went to McDonalds to eat. weWe didn't get back to our hotel until 1:30 am! We were very tired!
Saturday, we decided to go to Cincinnati to go to this shopping outlet we found online. My brother and his wife live close to Cincinnati so we called them to see if they wanted to meet up and go out to eat. They were over an hour away but came anyway. I hated that they had to drive that far but it was really nice to see them again.
Earlier that day, some people we know in New Castle, Indiana had invited us to their house that night to eat. After we got to the hotel and rested a bit, we went to their house. They are a really nice family and treated us just like their family.
After we ate, we all walked to a park that was close to
their house. It was the neatest park I have ever seen! The play ground was a huge castle with all kinds of tunnels, and slides. I forgot to bring my camera so I wasn't able to get any pictures.
We got back to our hotel at 11:00pm and was able to get a good night's sleep. Well, as good as you can get in a hotel anyway.
Sunday, we went to the Hisel's church (the family we ate with on Saturday night) in New Castle. We stayed with them all day so that we could go to their church again Sunday night. We really appreciate them asking us to stay with them on Sunday. We had a lot of fun. We ate an awesome meal and then Trinity and I had an awesome nap!! Nothing like those Sunday afternoon naps!
Sunday night, we had a really good service. Bro. Hisle asked Steven to preach. The title of his message was "Mountain Move".
After service, we went to eat at Steak And Shake.was the first time It was so good. This was the first time we had ever ate there.
We left their house at 11:00pm to head to Union, Illinois to see Steven's grandmother. We had a very uneventful trip, thank the Lord! The only thing was that we got lost in Gary, Indiana. I have heard that, that is one of the most dangerous places in America. I don't know. I think the crime rate is really bad or something. Anyway, it was 2:00 am and the GPS told us to turn right and when we did, we were under a bridge that said " No Trespassing". That was a little bit scary!
We arrived at Steven's grandma's house at 4:00am. We had no clue which house was hers so we had to call them. We finally got in and was able to get some sleep. I think we slept until 10:00 am and them got up and talked to Steven's grandma some. She was so excited to get to see Trinity, her first great-granddaughter, for the first time.
We decided to go to Chicago to go to the Shedd Aquarium and the Lincoln Park Zoo. We went to the aquarium first. I was so excited to go but it didn't turn out that great.
The aquarium was right next to Lake Michigan so we were able to see the beautiful lake. It looks just like the ocean! I was able to get some really good pictures of Trinity and this seagull that apparently loves people.
While we were trying to get Trinity's pictures, someone yelled to us "Your stroller in rolling down the hill!!". Steven ran and got it but yeah, Trinity's stroller and all our stuff about ended up in Lake Michigan!
We had to park a long way from the aquarium and we couldn't find where we parked. It took us probably an hour and a half to find our spot! It was then too late to go to the zoo so I wanted Steven to drive downtown so that I could see all the huge buildings! Chicago is a completely different world from Kentucky!
Steven got a gift card to Sonny's BBQ for his birthday so we wanted to eat there. Well, we typed "Sonny's BBQ" in our GPS. The closest one was 30 minutes away. Once we got there, we didn't find Sonny's BBQ, but rather Sonny's Hot Dogs! Never trust your GPS!
Tuesday, we wanted to not do much so we just hung around the house. We walked to a park nearby and then drove to a town nearby but that was about it.
Wednesday we woke up early to pack up our stuff and head back toward Kentucky. We stopped by the Lincoln Park Zoo on our way home. It's an awesome zoo! We all loved it especially Trinity! Her favorite animals were the monkeys and the river otter.
We left the zoo around 2:30 to go home. Again, another uneventful trip, praise the Lord! We got home at 9:00pm and we were so glad!
We had a good vacation. It was a lot different with a baby but it was so much more fun! Trinity was the best traveler and I think she really enjoyed her first vacation!
